Hi, I'm Jacob Funk.
I design, build and manufacture.
Mechanical Engineering student at Brigham Young University. I turn ideas into working hardware, from CAD model to finished part.
A little about me
I'm a Mechanical Engineering student at Brigham Young University, and I love designing, building and manufacturing solutions to real-world problems.
My interest in engineering started with LEGO and grew through woodworking, CAD, machining and 3D printing. I've been designing in Fusion 360 since I was 13 and running lathes and mills since I was 15. That gives me a strong hands-on manufacturing background, along with experience in system integration and prototyping.
I've competed in FIRST Tech Challenge robotics, and I designed and manufactured a machine that is used in pharmaceutical compounding. I'm especially interested in robotics, aerospace and prosthetics, and I'm looking for challenging engineering projects where I can apply my skills and keep learning.
